Frequently asked questions on the topic of system baths

A Future Flex Bathrooms bath is an industrially prefabricated, modular system bath for renovation and new construction.

It has reversible surfaces that allow non-destructive access to building services. Assembly takes place on site.

Another unique selling point (USP) is the two-shell design, which fully meets the requirements for statics, sound insulation and structural sealing. The CNC-manufactured floor element made of a special PU with individually milled slope forms the basis for the further construction. The entire design is data-based and industrially prefabricated.

The quickest way to modernise several bathrooms in a property is to insert a Future Flex Bathrooms system bath.

Pre-assembled GKV baths are available, which can already be implemented in small batch sizes from 8 units at short notice.

Individualisation of the surfaces and colours is possible via a planning order. A 2D DWG floor plan quickly ensures planning certainty.

An individual CAD 3D planning process is started for objects with 40 baths or more. The result is a personalised bathroom. The basis for this is the property’s floor plans, ideally in digital form.

The performance features of Future Flex Bathrooms are:

Sustainability:

High quality requirements for system components and materials, high-end CNC production, low logistical effort, quick and easy refurbishment as well as dismantlability of up to 90%.

Aesthetics:

Versatile design options with timeless system equipment and in different surface variants.

Innovative technology:

Reversible design for easy exchange of surfaces, invisible decentralised hot water production, highly durable fastening solutions in prefabricated HPL surfaces and quiet and clean assembly.

Safety:

Hygienic, easy-to-clean surfaces, high-quality brand components with guaranteed spare parts supply and low operating costs.

Conformability:

Ideal for changes in property use, such as converting office space into apartments.

Reversibility:

The visual look of the bathroom can be adapted or renewed without great construction effort.

This means that the Future Flex Bathrooms system baths are predestined for conversion, i.e. for converting office spaces into apartments, for example. Due to the reversibility of the system views, the look can also be changed without great effort in the event of a change in use, e.g. from student housing to senior living, and means significantly greater flexibility for the owner in the long-term use of the property (multi-use).

The cost of a systemic bath of Future Flex Bathrooms depends on customer requirements, the building situation, new or existing building, accessible equipment or preparation, as well as surfaces and surface designs.

A floor plan, the area of application and a brief project description are usually sufficient to specify an initial indicative price.

Thanks to the digital planning process and industrial manufacturing, construction and assembly times are significantly reduced, minimising revenue losses.

It has a significant impact on profitability, as if all further construction processes are also optimised, the property can be used faster and revenue can be generated earlier than normal.

A system bath is not only cost-optimised, but above all time-optimised.
Depending on the project and framework conditions, the construction time can be reduced by up to 70% thanks to quick assembly.

The significant time savings allow earlier use of the units and can thus generate additional revenue for investors and operators.

The price of a Future Flex Bathrooms System bath is influenced by factors such as local logistics, equipment, technology used, surface designs and materials, static requirements and decentralised hot water supply.

Yes, due to the low installation height of the commissioning floor element, a floor-level shower is possible even with a floor construction of 50 mm.

All the features of the Future Flex Bathrooms system bath come into their own in the existing system: Due to the elemented design, no facade opening is necessary and no crane needs to be set up. If necessary, the components can be transported through the stairwell, as the system components offer a weight advantage and do not unnecessarily stress the building statics.

The assembly can be divided into rough and fine assembly, enabling optimal integration into the entire construction process. The assembly time for rough and fine assembly is approx. 4 days in total. Industrial prefabrication avoids construction noise and large amounts of waste.

The easiest way to start the calculation is with a face-to-face meeting or video conference with all stakeholders and decision-makers to capture all requirements from the start. The further procedure will then be discussed and, if desired, a guide price will be drawn up. This is followed by individual CAD 3D planning, on the basis of which a binding cost determination is possible.

To ensure a smooth process, it is advisable to include the Future Flex Bathrooms system in the planning process as early as possible to avoid time-consuming and costly changes, which often lead to unpredictable costs.

The delivery speed depends on the approval process by the client. After technical and commercial clarification, approval should take place 6-8 weeks before the planned start of assembly.

Planning usually takes about 2-3 weeks after all necessary details have been clarified with architecture and technology.

Yes, a Future Flex Bathrooms system bath can also be installed during operation without major impairments to operation.

The lead time depends on the requirements of the respective object. Ideally 6-8 weeks before the planned start of installation.

The construction of a modular bath, including connection to the building services, drying times, etc., usually takes approx. 4 days, including all interior work.

All system components are named in the tender texts. Durability, longevity and reusability are essential for the selection of materials.

The base of the bath is a specially manufactured floor element with a CNC-milled slope to the system floor drain. The material is a special formula made of PU, it is waterproof.

Either a homogeneous R10B floor covering can be laid on top in a trough-shaped installation or a structural seal can be applied, which can then be covered with an R10B floor covering.

Thanks to the innovative IBS sealing system, all components are optimally sealed for long-lasting operation and then permanently elastically sealed.

The warranty interface for drinking water is the respective installation block for washbasin, shower and toilet. Here the installer connects the installation block to the riser.

The electrical installation is prepared, after which the electrician installs the planned components.

Yes, individual adaptation is possible if a minimum number of approx. 40 recurring units is to be implemented.

This depends on the respective requirements of the property and is implemented in planning according to the structural requirements. If the floor element is laid without a cavity, impact sound reduction of approx. 17 dB can be achieved in accordance with EN ISO 10140.

First, floor plans, the contact details of all parties involved, including the decision-makers, budget frameworks, schedules and special requirements (e.g. asbestos, structural damage, statics) are recorded.

In an initial video conference, the details are discussed with building owners, architects and MEP planners.

In this phase, an offer can be made for a first two-dimensional floor plan, if necessary a local inspection is carried out. A CAD 3D design plan is then created, which ends in release planning. The picking and production data are then generated.

First, a binding metre drawing is specified by the customer. The as-built configuration for the installation of the floor element and the shower drain is prepared by the customer (e.g. with levelling compound or core drilling). After the drying time has been observed, the system build-up begins with the floor element, which is fixed with an adhesive suitable for the respective substrate and additional screws.

Subsequently, the mounting elements and the floor drain are positioned on the detail points contained in the floor element and installed according to the respective manufacturer’s specifications. The piping is then provided by the customer. After TGA approval, the system walls (CNC-manufactured) are constructed, including the ceiling construction.

In the next step, the floor covering is installed (e.g. covering with cavity fillet/structural sealing) and any planned painting work is carried out.

The holes for sockets and switches are provided, the cabling and the electrical connection are carried out by a qualified electrician commissioned by the client.

The reversible commissioning system surfaces with the associated sealing components are now assembled.

After installation of the door frame and the threaded fine assembly, permanently elastic sealing takes place.

They are particularly suitable for healthcare, student accommodation, service apartments and changes in the use of office buildings, for example. Other object types can be viewed separately.

Yes, the system is particularly suitable for renovations, as no facades need to be opened or cranes placed here, it is lightweight and has countless design options.

The system is data-based and thus virtually infinitely scalable, even for large projects.

Yes, Future Flex Bathrooms’ modular bathrooms are sustainable as they require up to 80% less transport due to the low transport volume, which reduces the CO₂ footprint. They can be dismantled up to 90% of the way they are sorted and opened without destroying them, so that you have access to the technology at any time. If a change in use is to be possible in the further life cycle of the property, this is taken into account in advance in planning. For example, student apartments can be transformed into senior apartments visually and technically with minimal effort. The use of branded products ensures technical durability.

Modular construction offers several environmental benefits:

  • Use of high-quality and durable materials
  • Adaptability to changes in use without large waste volumes
  • Use of predominantly recyclable materials
  • Integration of high-quality technology for durability and efficiency

The baths are up to 90% dismantlable and recyclable, and these components can also be reused, for example in the event of a change of location, provided that the floor plan remains the same.

It all depends on planning. In general, Future Flex bathrooms with a decentralised hot water supply can make a significant contribution to reducing heating costs and drinking water treatment.

During normal use, only the silicone joints need to be maintained, otherwise no maintenance costs are incurred for the technology.

The warranty is 5 years in accordance with the provisions of the German Civil Code (BGB).

Facility management training enables the operator to carry out any necessary repairs himself.

Due to the diverse requirements in terms of technology, hygiene, equipment, form of use, etc. the exchange with our experts is essential, as the bathroom is usually the most technically demanding room and errors can thus be avoided.
